Q: What does increase in grip weight do to my putter's swing-weight? A: Each 5 gram increase on grip weight will reduce 1 "swing-weight". Therefore, if your regular grip weighs 70 grams and you switch to BigLite, your putter will now feel 3 swing-weighs lighter. For example, if the swingweight of your putter was D7, it will now go down to D4. The overall weight of the putter will now go up by 15 grams (less than 3 %).
This change is very minimal for a putter and will virtually give you the same feel weight-wise.
Now consider the switch to a popular Super Jumbo putter grip that weighs 230 grams. At 230 grams, it is 160 gram heavier than a regular grip. Your putter's swing-weight will now be reduced by 80 "swing-weights". What would that be on a swing-weight scale? The overall weight of the putter will also go up by 160 grams, which translates to roughly an increase of 24%. That is way too big a change in feel!
Q: How many colors are the BigLite grips available in? A: The BigLite grips are available in blue, red, and lime green with black on the back.
