BigLite Installation Guide

Important:

1. Use Only Organic solvents
Organic solvents = solvents that does not damage the ozone.  Do not use strong solvents, such as gasoline or paint thinner (aka: toluene, methylbenzene or phenyl methane) to install this grip.

2. Put 2 layers of tape.
This grip is made to accept a shaft up to 600 core size. If your putter shaft is a 580 core size shaft, be sure to add another layer of double-sided tape. If you are not sure, just add a second layer. It is very important to get a tight fit.

3. Allow more time to dry.
Allow the grip 24 – 36 hours to dry before using the putter. To make installation easier, more solvent may be needed and thus more time must be allowed for this special grip to dry completely. Do not twist the grip within 48 hours of installing the grip.

1. Apply 2 layers of double sided tape over entire length of the grip. For 600 core shaft, tape over the top 2 inches, and then add one layer of double-sided tape. (see photo on far right). Keep the protective plastic shield on.

2. Spray a generous amount of solvent over the entire tapped area to lubricate the tape. Then spray a small amount into the grip, just enough to lubricate the opening and inner walls of the grip.

Make sure shaft is clamped tightly!

3. Insert grip at a 45 degree angle, push & turn lightly (use a “spiral-in” motion) to grab on to the shaft, then straighten grip and push the grip in with a spiral motion until the grip is fully seated against shaft end.

PUSH IN WITH A SPIRAL MOTION!

4. Make final alignment adjustments. Remove protective plastic shield.

Once final alignment is adjusted, do not twist the grip within 48 hours. The grip will be 80 to 90 % dry in 24 hours and playable (think “light grip pressure”). The grip will be completely dry in 48 hours.

** Note: Due to the size, thickness and the super light-weight material used in making this special grip, this BigLite grip is not as elastic and will not stretch as much as a regular, thin rubber grip.
